The Artist:
I'm Raviraj, working as Manager, Internet Solutions at Foresee Multimedia Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, and Sketching, Painting, Writing poems in Hindi are my hobbies.
I have been doing abstract art since 1990. Painting to me, is not merely about brush strokes and colours on the canvas. I believe that it is a powerful medium to touch the lives of the common man, to create a space where he can relate to the characters of my brush strokes.
Late Mr. Hadpad of Ken School of Art, Bangalore, taught me the basics of sketching, painting and use of pastels. One of the most important things that I learnt from him as an artist is - observation, observation of people, places, activities… LIFE.
I have done two exhibitions so far, and very soon will be holding one more painting exhibition.
